Foundations of Truth

Foundations of Truth
  1. Everything is transient. Nothing is permanent. The only constant thing that is permanent is change. Everything changes over a period of time. It is like running water in a stream. A load of water comes, stays for a while in a particular place and moves on.
  2. Everything is only a concept and Truth is beyond all concepts. Every concept is born in thought and thought is ephemeral and is not true. Truth is beyond the thought. Truth reveals itself only when thought subsides. The thought is constantly observed by the Truth.
  3. Only Truth exists. If there is anything that is existing, that is only Truth that is existing. Nothing else exists. Nothing else can exist. Our ideas, concepts, aspirations, desires, thoughts, goals... nothing exists... they don't have any place in Truth. Truth exists both in manifested and Unmanifested forms. The whole seen or unseen manifested Cosmos is nothing but a speck of that Unmanifested form of Truth.

Sanskrit: English:
1. Brahma satyam jagan mithya - Brahman is real; the world is unreal
2. Ekam evadvitiyam brahma - Brahman is one, without a second
3. Prajnanam brahman - Brahman is the supreme knowledge
4. Tat tvam asi - That is what you are (Thou Art That)
5. Ayam atma brahma - Atman and Brahman are the same
6. Aham brahmasmi - I am Brahman
7. Sarvam khalvidam brahma - All of this is Brahman

Jagan mithya - The world is illusion.
Ekamevaa advitiyam brahma (There is only One. No two. The One is Brahman)

It is like the gold ornament wants to become gold. It has to only to get rid of the consciousness of the form. It is like a pot of clay wants to become clay. It is already that. It only has lose the consciousness of the pot form.

Human beings have to lose the consciousness of the form of human being. Then they can awaken to the Truth of Spirit i.e., tat tvam asi.
